Our first time in this wonderland of a country was in May 2016. We only had 4 days in Iceland, but it felt much longer than that. It was also the first time we experienced the midnight sun. This helped us stretch our days, allowing us to experience more than we could ever imagine in such a short time.
Over the past few weeks I’ve been writing about the different places we visited during our trip. Here are some nitty gritty details that I couldn’t quite capture in those posts. I hope it helps you plan your visit to this beautiful country.
DATES: May 18 – 23 2016 (arrived May 19th 4:40 am total of 4.5 days)
AIRLINE: WOW AIR
FLIGHT: Roundtrip Toronto to Reykjavik
PRICE: $498 per person including all fees and taxes
BAGGAGE: 1 personal item included in the WOW airfare – (one small personal item up to a maximum of 42x32x25cm such as a small bag/backpack, laptop or a camera bag. The item must fit under the seat in front of you)
CAR RENTAL: $628 for 4 days with SIXT car rental
ACCOMODATION: $638 4 nights entire home Airbnb. Our rental included 1 bedroom, living area, full kitchen, bathroom with laundry and free street parking. It was located in downtown Reykjavik close to the landmark Hallgrimskirkja Church.
